Call for projects 2012 (AMI 2012)

Call for projects 2012 (AMI 2012) of the Meta-omics of Microbial Ecosystems metaprogramme (MEM)

► Thescientific priorities of the 2012 call concern two areas, one mathematical and the other biological :

  1. Bio-informatic and biostatistical analysis and modelling of data derived from microbial ecosystems and simulations;
  2. Development of an understanding of the functioning of microbial ecosystems using meta-omic analyses.

These areas are broken down into sub-topics in the text of the AMI. Each declaration of intent must correspond simultaneously to one of the sub-topics in each of these two priorities.

►Total budget: around €750,000 for 2 years, with the possible funding of:

  • small projects (up to €40,000)
  • 1 or 2 major projects (up to €400,000)

►Conditions: the declarations of intent (DI) can concern:

  • research projects,
  • scientific networks.

They must be compiled in English and they will be evaluated by experts external to INRA.

This call is open to all INRA units or those associated with INRA (UR, UE, UMR, USC). Only INRA units can receive credits from the metaprogramme, even if the projects mention other contributing teams or partners.  Collaborations with private companies are possible but will not be funded by the programme.

The declaration of intent (DI) 2012 must be submitted in two parts:

  • Part 1(abstract, partners, budget): submission online via the webpage:


  • Part 2(text, up to 5 pages): submission by email to: mem@inra.fr
