Call for declarations of intent 2016 (DI 2016) of the MEM metaprogramme

► The scientific priorities of the 2016 call concern the following two axes:
    Axis 1: Bioinformatics, biostatistics and modeling of data derived from microbial ecosystems
    Axis 2: Development of functional understanding and engineering of microbial ecosystems via meta-omic approaches
These axes are detailed in sub-axes in the text of the call. Each declaration of intent (DI) must correspond simultaneously to one of the sub-axes of each of these two axes.

  • Part 1 (summary, partners, budget): form to be completed online
  • Part 2 (text to be written 5 pages max): word (or open office) file to be submitted online at the end of the form
     → it should be entitled: MEM-DI2016-Acronym of your project-Coordinator's last name






► Global budget : around 500 k € for 2 years, with possibilities to finance ~10 projects up to 50 k € each.

► Conditions:

  • DIs should concern innovative, risky, exploratory research projects.
  • DIs must be written in English, their evaluation will be carried out by at least 2 independent experts and the final decision will be taken by the international scientific committee of the metaprogram.
  • This call is open to all scientists from INRA or INRA units (UR, UE, US, UMR, UMS, USC). Only INRA or INRA units can benefit from the metaprogramme credits even if the projects mention other teams or contributing partners. Collaborations with private companies are possible but not funded by the program.
